This is something we focus on intentionally in our home, and it’s actually what inspired my Raising Superheroes Curriculum.

In our home, we talk about three types of people:

The Victim

Blames others.
Feels powerless.
Believes life is happening to them.

The Villain

Hurts others.
Takes control the wrong way.
Pushes pain outward.

The Hero

Takes responsibility.
Chooses courage.
Finds a way forward, even when it’s hard.

And Here’s the Truth

Kids aren’t born one or the other.

They learn it.

From what we teach.
From what we model.
From what we allow.

That’s Why This Matters

Because confidence isn’t something kids just “have.”

It’s something they build.

Every time they:

• face something hard
• choose to try again
• take ownership instead of blaming

That’s how heroes are made

Not with capes…

Because this doesn’t happen by accident… it happens when we teach it.
