Texas ESA Guide: How to Get Your Curriculum Covered

When the Pages Come to Life
June 3, 2026Weddings are usually pretty predictable.
Dresses.
Suits.
Formal photos.
And Then There’s This…
Bridesmaids in beautiful dresses.
A sharp-looking suit.
And…
A bear. 😅
The “Ring Bear”
Yes, that was intentional.
And yes—it was perfect.
Here’s What I Love About This Moment
No one said:
- “That’s not how it’s supposed to be.”
- “That doesn’t fit.”
- “Let’s make everything match.”
Because Not Everything Has to Match
And not every child is meant to fit into the same mold.
Homeschooling Gives Space for That
Space for:
- personality
- creativity
- humor
- individuality
Some Kids Will Follow the Script
And some will show up in a bear costume.
And Both Are Exactly Who They’re Meant to Be
One isn’t better than the other.
They’re just different.
Let Them Be Themselves
It’s easy to try to:
- make everything look right
- keep things “normal”
- have everything fit a certain expectation
But Real Growth Happens When Kids Can Be Themselves
Confidently.
Freely.
Without feeling like they have to fit a mold.
Final Thought
Your kids don’t all have to look the same…
They Just Need to Be Themselves
Even if that means showing up as the “ring bear.” 🐻
And the best part? No one made him feel like he had to be anything different.
