Homeschooling Resources for 2021

These are the classes & resources we’re using this year-

After being so impressed with My Tech High last year, we went with them again this year. The classes we chose for the girls this year are:

Addie- 4th Grade:

  • Language Arts (required each year)
  • Math (required each year)
  • Social Studies
  • Home Economics
  • Entrepreneurship

Bella- 1st Grade:

  • Language Arts (required each year)
  • Math (required each year)
  • Social Studies
  • Health
  • Exploring Technology

Here are some highly recommended curriculum apps we’re using this year-

Schoolhouseteachers.com

I’m really impressed with School House Teachers! Their site costs about $30-50 per quarter and has a TON- seriously, a TON of curriculum resources. Just about any class, for any grade that you can think of they probably have lesson plans and curriculum for. They also offer some great resources like access to the online World Book for references and more. Their curriculums are created by lots of different people which is what gives them so much variety. Check them out!

Education.com | #1 Educational Site for Pre-K through 5

Education.com ($60/year)
Covers: Math,  Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Coding, Common Core & more.
Ages: Pre K- 5th Grade
This website has a variety of resources and is a good place to get a well balanced educational curriculum. There are some customizable games and charts as well as a lot of printable for all ages and grades.

Adventure Academy - Apps on Google Play

Adventure Academy ($45-60/year)
https://www.adventureacademy.com/subscription/offer/c09c263/   This link is $45/year price.
Covers: Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, & more.
Ages: 8-13
A fun game that teaches a variety of subjects in a game setting.  Your kids will have so much fun it wont even feel like school.  They can also connect and play with other friends. Addie really loves this app and it covers so many different topics it’s great.

Home - MathseedsLearning to Read for Kids | Learn to Read with Phonics | Free ...
Reading Eggs & Math Seeds ($59-89/year)

Covers: Reading & Math

Ages: 2-13

I’ve heard so many great things about both of these apps! My girls loved these apps!  Seriously, almost every mom I’ve met that home schools has raved about these apps.  You can get them together with a subscription.

Hooked on Phonics | Logopedia | Fandom

Hooked on Phonics (App- $6.99/month, Workbooks- $8.99/month)

Covers: Reading

Ages: 3-8

A classic program that is now available in both app and workbook.  I signed up to get both the app and monthly workbooks for my girls last year and LOVED it! Bella started kindergarten knowing letters and sounds, but not able to read, and by the end of the school year last May she was at a SECOND GRADE reading level!!! I give tons of credit to hooked on phonics! I’m so impressed with them I highly recommend it to everyone. We did the app and monthly workbook/story books for $16/month- worth every penny.
