There’s not much better in the morning than a nice hot blueberry muffin with streusel topping!  When I buy the blueberry muffin mixes I will only buy the ones with the can of fresh blueberries. (the others don’t even have real blueberries in them but rather “blueberry bits”- see my post on processed foods) Today I wanted to try out my own creation of a streusel topping.
After making the muffin mix up according to it’s directions and scooping the batter into the cupcake pan it was time to make the topping.

3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/8 t. nutmeg (literally just a dash)
2 T butter
Mix all together then sprinkle on top of the muffins.  Bake according to the mix directions.
