Summer time means HEAT and one of the best ways to cool your kids off is by playing water games! Here are a few ideas of some games to try with your kids.
Water balloon
volleyball- using a sheet, have 2 teams catch then throw the water balloon to the other team.

piñatas- fill a large balloon (not water balloon size) with water and hang, then let kids break them open! Instead of treats they get drenched!

Baseball- each base is a bucket or kiddie pool of water they have to put their leg in. Home is a slip & slide.
Sprinkler in
2 ltr bottle- make your own sprinkler by poking holes into a empty 2ltr bottle then attaching it to your hose.

Car wash- let your kids wash your car & have water fights. OR make a play car wish for their bikes or kiddie cars.
Hot potatoe
with sponge- when the music stops they have to wring the sponge out over their head!

Sponge bucket
relay- they have to get water from one bucket using the sponge, then run across the yard to the other bucket and wring out the sponge. First team to fill their bucket to a specific point wins.

Squirt gun ball race- give each kid a squirt gun and have a large bouncy ball for each team. They squirt the ball making it roll pass a certain point. First team to get their ball pass the line wins!
Bucket of water relay over the head- Everyone is in a line and like the sponge bucket relay you’re trying to fill one bucket up with water by sponge. But the sponge is passed head over head getting everyone wet in the process!
