The Cube Course

The Cube Course is a comprehensive, hands-on curriculum that teaches students how to solve and analyze the Rubik’s Cube while building a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and problem-solving.

This curriculum integrates Mathematics, Science (Computer Science and logical systems), and English Language Arts as students explore algorithms, spatial reasoning, and structured problem-solving strategies.

Through engaging lessons, students will:

• Learn cube notation, sequences, and movement systems (Mathematics & Computer Science)
• Apply step-by-step algorithms to solve the cube using beginner and advanced methods (Mathematics)
• Explore concepts such as permutations, patterns, and logical structures (Mathematics)
• Develop critical thinking, pattern recognition, and analytical reasoning skills (Mathematics & ELA)
• Follow and explain multi-step processes using clear communication and reasoning (English Language Arts)

Students are introduced to multiple solving methods, including layer-by-layer and advanced strategies, while gaining a deeper understanding of how mathematical systems and logical rules work together.
