Last Sunday we surprised the kids by taking them to Disneyland while we were in CA.
It was the kid’s first time going~ and although we went to Knottsberry farm the night before, this trip was their first time going to any amusement park or riding on rides.
Here is the video of us telling the kids we were going…. poor Marshall was still waking up- his answer was actually yeah at the end, even though it sounds like no.
It was a BLAST! They’ve really added some cool stuff lately and have some neat things coming soon including a Cars area, a new Ariel/under the sea area, and something between CA Adventures and Disneyland but even my BFF’s hubby that works for Disney didn’t know what it was going to be.
We sat in line for the toy story ride for 1 1/2-2 hours, but it was fun and worth it! They have a really cool Mr. Potatoe Head by the line, my kids enjoyed watching him. Here’s a short video of what it was like- his eyes were like a tv screen, it was really cool. For some reason youtube is having issues loading this video, so hopefully it works embedded!
Of course we went on the Pirates ride, the jungle tour- which had CORNY jokes, and a couple of others. It was a beautiful day- perfect weather! Stopping for a ice cream treat was a nice break before going to the bugs life show. I wish you could buy these Mickey head ice creams in grocery stores! (but not for the Disneyland price lol)
Brady (my 3 year old) about FLIPPED when he saw Woody come out! He’s ALL about Toy Story, so we just HAD to go get their picture taken with Woody. All three boys had fun and the line was really short luckily.
Then on our way out of the park we had to stop and get some kitchen stuff (of course!) and the kids each got a Disneyland hat.
Jordan got a R2D2 Mickey hat, Marshall got a Mickey baseball cap, Kenzie got a stylish Mickey hat, and Brady got a Toy Story baseball hat (of course).
Even though we took our time and only went for about half a day it was still a LONG day and our feet were exhausted by night time when we left!
It was a FUN trip! And definatly some memories made! Thanks to Sadie & Matt (my bff and her hubby) for going with us!
