Staying motivated

The past few days while my husband was out of town I had 3 goals:
1- take back the family room! There has been 4 boxes left of his storage stuff taking up residence in the family room for the past month and I’m ready to have that room clean again. (this room is always my #1 priority to clean since it’s the room everyone sees when they come to my house)
2- clean our bedroom!  It has started to resemble the show Hoarders…… ok not that bad, but it defiantly needed some good organization since there were barely walkways.
3- organize the boys closet.  This project wasn’t a major big deal, but I wanted to get some case lot sales for our food storage and so by organizing their closet and putting things on a shelf unit it just eased my organizational bug.

So now the problem I’m faced with…….. it’s hard to get motivated to fine tune the rest of the house since!  I got all 3 goals done, and the house feels much better, but there’s just a few things in some of the rooms that need a little attention.  It’s not super messy- and doesn’t really look bad (especially in comparison to what it looked like before) so I’m finding it hard to get motivated to do the busy work it seems like.

Do you have that problem?  Normally the little things are all I need to do, and maybe have a couple big projects in the back of my mind that I’d like to get done when I have time.  So why is it my mentality changed when the big projects were done? Maybe it’s because with my husband gone there’s no one to praise the big projects being done? hummmmm….. All I know is I need to snap out of it!  I plan on spending a few days sewing soon and will want an entirely clean house so I can devote my time to sewing. (course by the time I’m done sewing I’ll be back to square one with the house lol)
